01
Start With Sources and Conditions
Document what is occurring, where it happens, when it began, and what changed. Indoor-air questions are stronger when symptoms are connected to time, place, HVAC operation, weather, remodeling, water, pests, or occupant activity.
02
Filtration and Airflow Work Together
A filter must fit the system and operating conditions. A higher rating is not automatically better if it creates excessive restriction or is installed incorrectly.
03
A Five-Part Indoor-Air Review
A useful conversation separates sources, ventilation, filtration, humidity or moisture, and HVAC operation. It also considers the timing and location of the concern before recommending a product or service.
- Sources and occupant activity
- Outdoor-air and ventilation conditions
- Filter fit, type, and replacement history
- Humidity, condensation, and water events
- HVAC operation and room-to-room airflow
04
What to Document Before Contacting Us
Record where and when the issue occurs, whether it changes when the HVAC starts, filter history, recent remodeling, pets, cleaning products, outdoor events, water or pest history, and the rooms affected. Photos can help when they show a safely accessible, relevant condition.
05
Moisture Comes First
Moisture sources and water intrusion must be identified and addressed. Cleaning or adding a product cannot substitute for correcting an active source.
06
Possible Service Pathways
Depending on the evidence, the next step may involve duct-system review, filter and airflow guidance, moisture-source correction, ventilation questions, HVAC service, pest work, building-envelope work, or another qualified professional. Continental will not force every indoor-air concern into a duct-cleaning sale.
07
Products, Testing, and Claims
No sanitizer, deodorizer, antimicrobial, purifier, testing service, or performance outcome should be assumed unless Continental confirms the actual offering, product label, procedure, limitations, and price. Website education is not a laboratory result, medical diagnosis, or promise of a health outcome.
08
No Medical or Universal Outcome Claims
Continental does not diagnose health conditions, identify unknown biological material, or promise that one product or service will eliminate every concern. The responsible next step may involve another qualified professional.
